19 Chilean companies participated in two technology business meetings organized in Berlin, Germany, through the Enterprise Europe Network, of which EuroChile is the only Latin America member. The first week of March, as part of the CeBIT fair 2009 the 11th edition of Future Match was realized, an ICT partnering event for companies and research and academic institutions looking for international cooperation partners and new solutions in information and communication technologies. The event registered more than 600 participants in face to face meetings. Among them and with the support of EuroChile seven Chilean companies participated having 23 meetings with 17 European counterparts about different services and technology applications, such as security and data analysis, monitoring, expected management and customer relationship management (CRM). The companies Agua Santa, Browse Software Engineering, Genera, Kibernum, POLICOMP, Rhiscom and Tecno Link met with counterparts of Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Portugal, the Check Republic, the United States and Vietnam. Tourism opportunities March 11, there was also organized a similar meeting in Berlin, orientated in the tourism sector as part of the ITB fair. In this opportunity, 91 companies came together to seek partners, start or develop tourism business and discuss cooperation possibilities under the auspices of one of the main fairs in its sector, which offered a unique opportunity to meet tourism related partners: tourism organizations, accommodations, tour operators and tourism agencies, transport, tourism companies, IT and software, information and consulting companies and tourism providers. The meeting was attended by nine Chilean companies: Antarctic Shipping, Aqua Motion, Arrebol Patagonia Hotel, Atacama Spirit Chile; First Premium Travel, Hotel Hacienda Tres Lagos, Hotel & Cabañas Petrohué, Turismo Chile and Turismo Valparaíso Extremo, which were inscribed through EuroChile. They had 12 meetings with six counterparts, among them Germany, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary and tourism offices, agencies, operators and consultants. It is very easy to participate in this kind of events. Companies only have to enter a website where they upload their profiles indicating the cooperation they are looking for and schedule directly their meetings. EuroChile, the Chilean member of the Enterprise Europe Network, supports entrepreneurs in this process, giving guidance and validation of the national profiles before (???) the European Network members. Networks for SME service During the first three months of this year, the work of EuroChile in the Enterprise Europe Network has been very active. 8 European consults about the Chilean market have been managed; three Chilean companies are about to sign cooperation agreements with different European companies. In parallel, two receiving institutions were sought for internships. Finally, EuroChile is organizing a business round with companies of the Balearic Islands (see other note).
